Ms. Oleksiak is a licensed master social worker for both clinical and macro practice. Carol helped to create the Virtual Center of Excellence (VCE) beginning in 2006 as the live and online training system for Detroit Wayne Community Mental Health. In 2004, she was named the Alumni Social Worker of the Year by Wayne State University. She has over 30 years working with children and families in the Detroit- Wayne County Community Mental Health system. She was an integral part of the development of the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health’s Endorsement System, which is recognized around the world for clinical workforce development in Infant Mental Health. She has authored a chapter in Case Studies in Infant Mental Health Risk, Resiliency, and Relationships. For the last 20 years she has taught social work interns from the University of Michigan, Wayne State University and Eastern Michigan University as a field instructor. She provides training, supervision and consultation in the Infant Mental Health field.
